Summer One-Room Schoolhouse
Summer is coming! You've probably noticed the weather heating up!
During the summer months we want to continue programs for our
children and youth. Nursery age (birth through 3 years) have an
exciting nursery space in which to play and socialize. For our
4-year-olds through 5th grade, it is our tradition to offer a "one
room schoolhouse" with an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Art
projects, games, and wholesome videos will be a fun way for our
youth to keep connected during the school break. Having "antsy"
children occupied will allow parents to also keep connected and
attend worship regularly.
Our group of dedicated Sunday School teachers certainly have earned
summer vacation, so we are requesting that other men, women, and
teenagers who are willing to serve please volunteer your time to
oversee the children during the summer. With sufficient numbers, you
may only be asked to help on two Sundays out of the summer.
Please see Sarah Hugus or Tracy Martin to offer your help, and give
your available dates. If you prefer to work as a team with another
adult or teen, that would be great! We also need to know if you
prefer the older or younger age group. Please sign up in the Rosser
room. Serve your church this summer!
Special Events
Special learning events, especially for teens, are held throughout the year. Many of these deal with topics about making good choices.
